Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable Onsite IT Support Technician to assist our clients with computer hardware troubleshooting, basic network setup, and simple network issue resolution. This role requires someone who can work independently at client locations and provide friendly, professional service.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair computer hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot simple network issues (e.g., connectivity, Wi-Fi problems).
- Install and configure basic networks, such as connecting routers to modems and setting up small office/home office networks.
- Assist clients with basic IT support questions and provide guidance on proper hardware/software usage.
- Document work performed and escalate complex issues to senior technicians when necessary.
- Maintain a professional and courteous presence while onsite at client locations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience repairing PCs, laptops, and common peripheral devices.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, routers, and switches.
- Ability to install and configure home or small office networks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client locations as needed.
Preferred:
- CompTIA A+ , Net+ or similar IT certification.
- Experience with small business or home network setups.
Work Environment:
- Primarily onsite at client offices or homes.
- Travel between client locations required
Pay Rate:
$20.00, Depending on experience
This is an on-call as needed position
